Ring n Ride

Ring n Ride is a wheelchair accessible minibus taking people from their homes for shopping and other trips. The driver will help people on and off the bus and help with shopping. Volunteers are also available request to accompany you and help with wheelchairs. A manual wheelchair is available by prior booking. Those who have no access to transport of their own, and difficulty accessing public transport can use this service. This applies both to households completely lacking access to transport and in other cases as well - e.g. in a young family where there is only one car and one parent goes out to work, the other parent and child/ren would be eligible. It operates from your home to local towns, for shopping or appointments according to a published schedule. There is one trip each weekday from two or three Zones in our area to a different destination each day. Fares vary with destination: £3.00 upwards.
